  • Basil oil : Consists of camphor, D-limonene, myrcene, and thymol that have repellent properties.
  • Lavender oil : Prevents skin irritation and itching and make the skin smooth and supple.
  • Peppermint oil : Possesses a fresh sharp menthol odor which helps in keeping the mosquito away.
  • Garlic powder extract : Contains potential insect repellents such as thiophenes and dithiane.
  • Rosemary oil : Promising mosquito repellent due to the presence of rosmanol, carnosol, α- and ß-pinene, diterpenes and terpenes.
  • Geranium oil : Has antibacterial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Clove oil  : Consist of eugenol, carvacrol, thymol and cinnamaldehyde which possesses mosquito repellant activity.
  • Neem oil : Repels the mosquitoes and inhibit their growth due to the presence of constituents like Azadirachtin, Nimbin, Nimbidin and Nimbidol.
  • Lemongrass oil : Consists of geraniol and citronellol that repels the mosquitoes.
  • Vetiver oil : Consists of α-, β-vetivone which repels the mosquitoes.
